SUS 304 or 316 — which do I need?
SUS 304 for interiors, hospitals, food areas and general work a few kilometres from the sea. SUS 316 where chlorides are present: beachfront, marina, port, desalination and chemical plant. The difference is molybdenum, which resists pitting from salt. We will tell you when 304 is enough rather than sell you the dearer grade.
What sizes do stainless extinguisher cabinets come in?
The same sizes as our steel line — a 9.5 × 24 in tub 5 in deep for a 5 lb extinguisher and 6 in deep for 10 lb, 12 × 27 × 8 in for 20 lb, and 20 × 27 × 8 in for two 20 lb units (US practice quotes width first). Stainless bodies run about 10 mm deeper because of the frame detail.
How much does a stainless steel fire extinguisher cabinet cost?
More than powder-coated steel, and the sheet is why. Grade and thickness move the price most, then finish — mirror and PVD cost more than brushed. Send your spec and quantity and we return an FOB quotation within 24 hours; we will quote 304 and 316 side by side if you want to see the gap.
Do you offer brushed, hairline and mirror finishes?
Yes — no. 4 brushed as standard, hairline for lobbies where a finer grain is wanted, mirror polish, and PVD colour (gold, bronze, rose gold) to match door furniture in hotel and retail interiors.
Can you make cabinets that clean down for food and pharmaceutical areas?
Yes — radiused internal corners, no exposed fasteners on the face, and a fully welded and ground body so there is no crevice to trap product. Say it is a washdown area on the enquiry and we detail it accordingly.
Can you OEM stainless cabinets for distributors?
Yes — free OEM: your brand etched or printed, your packaging, no tooling fee. Etched branding on stainless is permanent and looks better than a printed decal, so most distributors choose it.
Do you also make carbon steel and fire hose cabinets?
Yes — powder-coated steel extinguisher cabinets are on our fire extinguisher cabinet page, and we build hose reel, hydrant and breeching inlet cabinets on the same line. One quotation and one container can carry all of them.
What is the minimum order for a trial, and how do we move to full containers?
Stainless steel cabinets 30 units — a first order can be smaller. We build one sample cabinet to your drawing, you approve it, then the batch runs; several models can share one container. Every approved model keeps its drawing number, so a repeat order goes by number with no new sample. See our importer & distributor program.
What is your lead time, and can you keep up with repeat orders?
About 7 working days for a sample once the drawing is approved, then 25–40 days for mass production depending on quantity and finish. Our three factories make 15,000 cabinets a month between them, scheduled by order, so a large or repeat order can run across more than one factory.
Our market requires a certificate for the cabinet — can you supply it?
What we hold: CCCF 3C, ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 and third-party EN 60529 test reports for the enclosure. The cabinet shell carries no UL, FM, LPCB or Kitemark approval, and we do not apply for a country’s certificate on our own. If your tender asks for a certificate on the cabinet itself, tell us before you order — we will say plainly whether we can meet it.
