In Malaysia the Uniform Building By-Laws 1984 require hose reel systems in most commercial and industrial buildings, with reels tested to MS 1489 and carrying a Bomba Sijil Perakuan Bahan. In Singapore the SCDF Fire Code Clause 6.2 governs rising main and hose reel systems, with reels listed under the TUV SUD PSB scheme to SS 575. Both schemes certify the reel and the valve. We build the cabinet that houses them.
Hose reel systems (salur bantu mula) are mandatory in most commercial and industrial buildings. The reel carries the Bomba material certificate; the cabinet is the sheet-metal housing around it, which is why we build to the sizes Malaysian manufacturers publish.
Clause 6.2 covers rising main and hose reel systems, and requires that hose reel cabinets are not locked. Reels are listed through TUV SUD PSB. Singapore projects lean to hairline stainless in lobbies and public areas.
We do not hold a Bomba Sijil Perakuan Bahan or a PSB listing for the cabinet, and neither scheme lists enclosures as far as we can establish. Specify a certified reel and valve; we supply the housing, with material certificates and EN 60529 enclosure test reports.
The cabinet sizes local manufacturers and suppliers publish, in millimetres H × W × D. Depth is the variable that matters most: it follows the reel drum and whether a swinging arm is fitted.
The same cabinet in the two finishes each market expects. Malaysian projects take red epoxy powder-coated mild steel; Singapore lobbies and public areas take hairline stainless with red lettering and the hose reel pictogram. Both carry the narrow vertical viewing window so the reel can be checked without opening the door.

A 610 × 545 × 170 mm cabinet is a different product — that is a lay-flat hose cabinet for 2.5 in hose and a nozzle, not a reel cabinet. Tell us the reel make and drum diameter and we confirm the depth before quoting.

Breeching inlet and landing valve cabinets are enclosures. The inlet breeching and the landing valve are separately certified items — supply them yourself or nominate a maker and we fit them.

The common Malaysian cabinet is 800 × 700 mm with a choice of 400, 320 or 250 mm depth, in 1.2 mm mild steel with red epoxy powder coating. Depth follows the reel drum — a swinging arm needs the deeper body. Compact cabinets for a 22 in drum are made in 0.9 mm sheet.
Mild steel cabinets are typically 800 × 800 × 400 mm; the stainless equivalent is 790 × 790 × 360 mm in hairline SUS 304 or 316. Singapore projects specify stainless more often than Malaysia, especially in lobbies and public corridors.

Yes. Breeching inlet cabinets are 595 × 395 × 295 mm for 2-way and 595 × 595 × 295 mm for 4-way, built to BS 5041 Part 5 box dimensions with a clear tempered glass door. Landing valve cabinets are about 600 × 400 × 300 mm. All are supplied empty for your certified valve or breeching.
Mild steel with red epoxy powder coating is the Malaysian norm and is fine for corridors, car parks and plant rooms. Hairline stainless is preferred for Singapore lobbies and for any coastal exposure; SUS 316 for beachfront and industrial atmospheres. We make both on the same line.
